To Those I Love ...Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you... I loved you so 'twas Heaven here with you. ~ Isla Paschal Richardson

Angels In The Sky
(by Terri Onorato)

There is a star in Heaven
and on it is a place
that's been reserved for you since birth
a place meant for your name.

This star has watched you through the years
but it could not stand alone,
it rested high on angel wings
awaiting your trip home.

You slipped away, I held you close,
your soul flowed through my heart,
I felt your last breath through my tears
I felt your pain depart.

Tonight I looked up to the sky
and there for me to view
was one lone star shining bright
your name was shining too.

You were my angels on this earth,
you're my angels in the sky.
Wait for me, someday you'll see
our names shine side by side.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

The Light ~ Angels crossing over bridge They wait for you to see Light that shines so brightly Illuminates life so naturally Water down below reflects Angel's gentle wings Beauty is a part of joy The wonder nature brings So calming is this water Gives us all such peace Reflections of the flowers Floral scents of love increase Angels watching overhead Are glad to hear us speak Knowing that within our hearts It's precious love we seek ~ Poetry by FrancinePucillo © ~

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on snow,

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush,

I am the swift, uplifting rush..

..of quiet birds in circled flight,

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there, I did not die.

My Angel

Angel you're just heavenly
It's really true you know
I love the way you pose for me
Your Halo really glows

So much sparkle in amber eyes
Such tenderness I've found
Love the way you look right now
With beauty that abounds

Always know when you're around
Such purrfect company
Love it when you cuddle close
You're truly meant for me

Times of gloom you light my day
Your light will always shine
Majestic beauty at my side
So thrilled that you are mine

Couldn't find another friend
Unselfish and so kind
Always seem to make my day
So filled with bright sunshine

You'll always be a part of me
As years will come and go
Together we will always be
The very best duo.

Buster was such a wonderful and loving cat. He always greeted me in the morning with paw pats and kitty kisses. He could never wait for me to get up, he always had to try his best to get me awake. Buster loved frogs and bugs and crawly things!!! Buster was the top cat at the Jersey Cats Emporium household. His sister Lady and brother Simba and I miss him terribly. There is such an emptiness in the house right now as he was the heart of the household. Buster was 17 years old grey and white cat. He came to live at here when he was just 5 weeks old. He was very tiny and loved to sit on my lap. He really really got big and weighed in around 15 pounds. Buster and Simba loved to wrestle and he loved to chase poor Lady off whatever spot she was on. He loved to be outside hunting or sitting under the little pine tree. WE spent the whole last summer every day outside in the garden. I would sit and drink my coffee and Buster would check out the garden and the flowers.

Buster was a real good hunter and brought me lots of presents. When he couldn't find a mouse, or mole, or bug, he would just bring me back a paper bag, a leaf, or just a clump of grass. He caught mice, bugs, and grass hoppers and praying mantis, and some times little tiny frogs. One of his favorite spots to lay outside was out side in the flower box. The best time was when I would takes all three kitties out for a walk. Buster followed along but most of the time he wanted to get in front and protect me from anything that might scare me. The neighbors laughed and said Buster was more like a dog than a cat when I followed along behind him. Buster had a long and happy life. He was a great pal, a great kitty. We just loved Buster so much and we miss him more than words can ever say.

Here another shot of Buster
Wasn't he a handsome devil!!!

MEMORIES

Precious and painful ...bitter and sweet
eched in my heart ...ever so deep.

We all have them ...and some are so dear
wouldn't trade them ...for years and years.

Some so painful ...wish you'd forget
leaves you feeling ...nothing but regret.

Memories I'll cherish ...till the day I die
when out of this earth ...my spirit will fly.

And when I'm gone ...and you are still here
just close your eyes ...and I'll appear.

Memories you'll feel ...like a sweet gentle kiss
savor the moment ...the feeling of bliss.

The warmth of the sun ...the smell of the rain
memories envelope you ...in all of your pain.

I know you'll be sad ...but try not to grieve
as after all ...memories I leave.

Hold to them tight ...don't let go
memories of the heart ...I cherished them so!

"Now Arise"

I decided to put all of Buster's History back up on his page.
This is all a part of who buster was and I want to remember him as he was:

WELCOME TO BUSTER'S PAGE

Hi, my name is Buster, and I am the top cat at the Jersey Cats Emporium household. There is Lady and Simba and also my Meowmie, who live here. I am really glad about that. I am proud to let you all know I was picked as Pet of the Day on Sept 25...It was a great honor. (Please see photo below) Now I would like to tell you a little bit about more myself. I am a 16 year old gray and white cat. I came to live at my Meowmie's house when I was just 5 weeks old. I was very tiny and loved to sit on my Meowmies's lap. I am really big now and weigh in around 15 pounds. I have been on a diet this year. We have a great time, wrestling with Simba and chasing Lady off whatever spot she is on. My favorite place to be is outside hunting.

Summer, 2007 - Buster has been sick with kidney disease for almost 2 years. He has been a trooper letting me feed him by hand as he hated the stinky prescription cat food. Buster has been going outside almost every day all summer. We would sit near the little pine tree. I would drink my coffee and Buster would go around checking out the garden and seeing what he could see. Poor Buster has lost a lot of weight but we are trying our best to see if he can get better. Everyone hope for the best. Buster did lose his battle with kidney disease in October, 2007. He was a very brave cat and we all loved Buster a great deal and hope to see him again one day at the Rainbow Bridge.

It's February, 2007 already and I am going to be 17 years old this year in August. Well, I have felt a lot better this year. I got sick in last January, 2006 and lost 2 pounds. I am on prescription cat food that I just hate and I won't eat by myself. So my poor Meowmie still feeds me 2 or 3 times a day. I do eat tuna on my own, but not enough to keep me feeling well. My Meowmie is retired and she is home with us all the time. It is a good thing as it takes a couple of hours a day to feed me. I want out for a little while in the morning, and I do for a couple of hours when the weather is nice. My mom gets mad though because I run away when I go out and she can't catch me. I don't get to go out all the time, so when I do I really like to take advantage of it. The weather is getting colder now when fall comes around I probably won't get to go outside at all. Lady is better this year and not so sick with thyroid problems any more. She is 19 this year so she doesn't do much but sleep and eat. Simba is outside all day long and I hardly see him. Once in a while we do go hunting together outside. I am still TOP CAT around here. . But all in all it has been a pretty good year and I am looking forward to my birthday party and lots of goodies to eat and to many more happy days with Simba, Lady and Meowmie Aurora!

Oh, here is a photo of me "hiding" under
the trees...I think no one can see me! heheeheee!

Oh, this is how I came to live at Aurora's house. About 16 years ago, one of the other kitties when to the rainbow bridge, and poor Lady was really lonesome. So Aurora asked everyone she knew and finally someone had a kitty to give her. Guess who that was...me, of course. She loved me on first sight, and as she put me in the car she said aren't you a cute little buster....and that is what she named me..Buster. I love my meowmie very much and she has given us all a really good home!!!!

Gee, wish I was outside!

Here is my pet of the day photo.

Now I am a big boy and I weigh 15 pounds. If I keep growing my Meowmie is going to put me on a diet. I live in a nice place and love to go out doors. I am a real good hunter and bring my Meowmie lots of presents. When I can't find a mouse, or mole, or bug, I will just bring her back a paper bag or just a clump of grass. I catch mice, bugs, and grass hoppers and praying mantis, and some times little tiny frogs. It is so funny to watch my Meowmie run around and scream when the frog or snake gets loose. She runs and gets the waste paper basket and catches the frog and puts it out. She hates it when I catch a bird, but it is just a natural instinct.

One of my favorite spots to lay outside is in the flower box. Here is a picture of me above in the flower pot. My other favorite sleeping spot is right in the middle of the King sized bed! The best time is when my lady purrson takes me out for a walk. I follow along behind her, and some- times I get in front and protect her from anything that might scare her. The neighbors laugh and say I am more like a dog than a cat when I follow along behind her. I just love my lady and I love living here. I hope we never, ever leave.

Here is a current pics of me
