All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS AT RAINBOW BRIDGE
T'was the night before Christmas, at Rainbow Bridge too.
We Bridge kids were thinking as always of you.
We'd seen how the holidays weren't bright this year,
Heard you whisper so often, "I wish you were here!"
We know how you wish you could just stay in bed
And sleep through the holiday lying ahead,
When all celebrate with their loved ones so near...
Unless they have loved ones on this side this year.
But we're no less alive here, on the other side.
If you could just see us, you would've laughed and not cried.
The dogs all in harness, pulling the sleigh.
The cats all in Santa hats pointing the way.
The pet birds all flying back over the rainbow,
Bound homeward in spite of Earth's darkness and snow.
All the pets that you've lost, pets for whom you've cried,
Flying home on this Christmas to be by your side.
If you feel warm fur brush you when no pet's around,
Hear a soft bark or purr, just a ghost of a sound,
We're trying to tell you we're visiting this way,
And our visits, even rainbows, can be on any day.
But for Christmas we have something special to do,
A sleigh full of happy dream visits for you.
On doggy, on kitty, on winged friend and ferret!
The love that you lavished, we mean now to share it!
We're fetching that love home, the way we once played,
With the closeness we shared and the memories we made.
Our Earth lives with you were too short for us, too,
And on this Christmas Eve we have so much to do.
So all through this night as you sleep in your beds,
Sweet visions of fur babies dance in your heads.
This one special night we can bring you Home for a while,
Your true home in Heaven, where again you will smile.
Over the rainbow you'll fly, for a short while this night,
Hours that you'll be happy, hours that will feel right,
Hours to cuddle and hug us, to run and to play,
Before the return to Earth in our magic way.
And when you awaken and face Christmas Day,
We pray you'll remember your trip on our sleigh,
But in case you forget, just remember our love.
Remember us watching you, your angels above.
Sending love wrapped in rainbows, shining and bright,
Love that will guide you through the darkest night,
Love found in each memory unwrapped through the year,
Replacing dark sorrows with Christmas cheer.
Leave the toys to St. Nick, we Bridge kids bring dreams,
Sweet visits to remind you all is not as it seems
When you look all around you with tired Earthly eyes.
If you saw as we do, there'd be joy and surprise.
There are fur angels waiting by those Christmas trees,
Always there for you and hearing your pleas.
We're never more than a thought away from your home,
You're never forgotten, you're never alone.
Nor are we alone here, with our Rainbow Bridge friends.
We know only joy here, the celebrating never ends,
And after our reunions with you Christmas Eve,
We Bridge kids will party like you'd never believe.
But we'll slip away often to be by your side.
Sitting there watching you, eyes open wide,
Praying you'll be able to catch a glimpse of us, too.
But whether or not you see us - Merry Christmas to you!
by Cindy Morgan
My First Christmas in Heaven
I see countless Christmas trees around the world below,
with tiny lights, like Heavan's stars, reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear,
for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear,
but the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description, to hear the Angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart,
but I am not far away. We really aren't apart.
So be happy for me dear ones. You know I hold you dear,
And be glad I'm spending Christmas,
With Jesus Christ this year.
I send you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above.
I send you each a memory, of my undying love.
After all, "Love" is the gift, more precious than gold.
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other, as My Father said to do,
For I can't count the blessings or Love He has for each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas, and wipe away that tear.
Remember, I am spending Christmas, with Jesus Christ this year.

Memories of The Heart
Feel no guilt in laughter
For your Angel knows how much you care
Feel no sorrow in a smile
That your Angel isn't here to share.
Talk about the good times
And the ways you showed you cared
The days you spent together
All the happiness you shared.
Let the memories surround you
A word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture
A time, an hour, a day.
That brings your Angel back as clearly
As though your Angel was still here
And fills you with the feelings
That your Angel is always near
For if you keep those memories
You will never be apart
And your Angel will live forever
Locked safe within your heart

Four Feet In Heaven
Your favorite chair is vacant now...
No eager purrs to greet me.
No softly padded paws to run
Ecstatically to meet me.
No coaxing rubs, no plaintive cry
Will say it's time for feeding.
I've put away your bowl, and all
The things you won't be needing;
But I will miss you little friend,
For I could never measure
The happiness you brought me,
The comfort and the pleasure.
And since God put you here to share
In earthly joy and sorrow;
I'm sure there'll be a place for you
In Heaven's bright tomorrow...

Bold Orange Ghost cat,
Your footsteps pit-pat
In the hallway of my mind
The kiss of air, whisper-soft purr;
I hear the echos of your purr;
See your pouncing shadow everywhere....
And smile through my tears.

I'm still here
My Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.
My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.
I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.
I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond. |

Look At Me !!
Welcome To My Place. .
.A Soft, Gentle, Kind of Place. . .Stay Awhile
Glad
that you dropped over
I've waited just for you
Welcome to my special place
So glad to have you too
Sometimes in life we need a friend
Well that's what I'm here for
So come on in and let me say
So glad you're at my door
Just sitting here and thinking
I'd love to make you smile
I hope that I've achieved this
And you can stay awhile
So purrfectly delighted
And glad that you're inclined
To spend a little time with me
Just sit back and unwind
Time in life it goes by fast
We need a chance to rest
Remembering that every day
A pause in life is best
So take a breath and let it go
Relax and feel the flow
Such a purrfect ending
Within a peaceful glow.

Hi, My Name is Simba
Update December 25, 2012
Well, this is a sad update to write. My much loved Simba has gone on to join Buster and Lady at the Rainbow Bridge. Sammy and I are very sad and we miss our Simba brother
more than we can say. The house has seemed exceptionally quiet without Simba here. Sammy is looking for his brother to pester. My poor Simba was
diagnosed with Kidney disease two years ago. I knew what we were facing as I had gone through this sadness with Buster and Lady. Simba was trooper
though and put up with getting fluids and all the rest of the treatment. He still loved to go outside and would hunt for mice everyday. He was going
outside right up until 3 weeks ago, when it got cold in New Jersey. He and Sammy never were able to get along, I guess the term is more tolerate. My loving
boy still wanted to sleep with me in bed every night until recently when he got too sick. I miss him terribly but I am glad his suffering is over and
he will find peace and contentment for the rest of his time. Love you Simba!!
Update February, 2009 Hi, well winter is still here in New Jersey. It has been a cold and snowy January and February and it's still only 30 dgrees out today. I can't stand staying inside all the time, so I have been going out even when it's only 20 degrees. We had a bad year in 2007, as we lost our brother kitty Buster and mommie didn't feel like writing much then and last year. She feels better now, but we are worried about Lady. Lady is 21 this year, so we aren't sure how much longer she will hold on, although she is in pretty good health for a "100" year old kitty. I try to play with her once in a while when she walks by, but she's not interested and just hurries out of the room. I get to sleep with mommie every night usually right up by her arms and curl up in her belly area and between her knees and arms...We are kinda like spooning, tee hee. Every morning before I go out I sit on the couch with mommie and she combs and brushes me. And I just love to the brushed and petted. It's my favorite time of day. I have a lot of competition outside. This used to be my territory, but there are a bunch of outdoor cats and I have to compete with. I chase off the little fluffy black kitty, but the big wild other black kitty gives me a run for my money. There is a new cute little white and orange kitty that comes by for food out in the woods. Mommie is thinking of adopting her, if Lady goes to the rainbow bridge, but we will have to wait and see what happens. Well, that's about all that's new now.
Update March, 2008 Winter is just about over here in New Jersey. I have been a real outdoor kitty this winter and went out on days when it was even 10 degrees...I just can't stand being stuck indoors. It was a sad fall for us last year. My best buddy Buster went to the Rainbow Bridge to wait for us. I really miss him a lot as he was my playing buddy and we also cleaned each other off. Lady and I a getting a little better at getting along. Sometimes she merows and I come running and jump over her. She spits at me and hisses, but I know she is just playing...(I think...). It was raining today, so Meowmie won't let me out, but maybe this afternoon if it gets nicer she will let me out. I still love playing in my red popup cube..It is so much fun! Moewmie gets tired out before I do. Right now I am taking a snooze waiting to go outside. Maybe soon.....
Update February, 2007 Hi, well winter is finally here in New Jersey. It was late in coming but now it is really cold and freezing out. No more outdoors for me till spring. I don't mind it too much. I sleep all day. When I do get up I play with Buster and Mommie. In the mornings I sit with Mom when she eats breakfast and then when she's done, it's play time. I got a new little red popup cube for Christmas. I just love rolling around in it and playing with the jumping jim on a stick that Mom got me to play with. I just go nuts and roll around in the cube and chase the toy until I am all tired out. Buster is feeling a little better and plays once in a while. He likes to sit on the footstool and then he swats me in the head. I don't like that very much. I get to sleep a lot and eat a lot. I hate to see how much I will weigh after the winter is over. Lady is really old and just sleeps and eats. But me, I am fine even though I am almost nine I still love to play. I am just as pleasingly plump as ever and still am very kittenish. I love to play and I love laying next to my Mom and getting petting (until I bite her)!
Update October, 2006 Hi, here it is almost winter again in New Jersey. I am outside enjoying my few last days in the sunshine. Everything is pretty good. But my poor buddy Buster has been sick this year, he has IBS and stopped eating. So my poor Mom must feed him 3 times a day. Lady is getting really old and just sleeps and eats. But me, I am fine even though I am eight years old going on nine. I am just as pleasingly plump as ever and still am very kittenish. I love to play and I love laying next to my Mom and getting petting (until I bite her)!
Here I am last summer - I got to be pretty big Huh!
Here it is August, 2002.
- I have had a very happy year. Mommie was home all spring and summer. So I pretty much live outside. I hound Meowmie to go out and by 9 a.m. she lets me out, I come home in the middle of the day for some chow, and then it's back outside until 6 p.m. or later. I like to track the wild birdies and mousies. I usually don't hurt them but just like to play with them! Hope the winter never comes this year!

Here I am checking out Meowmie's flowers
she got for Christmas.
Update 11/1/2001 - Hi all, I can't believe the summer has come and gone. I spent the whole summer outdoors. My Meowmie was home this summer so I stayed outside from 8 in the morning till 9 at night. It was a very nice summer, but the weather is getting cold and it wont' be much longer I will want to spend outdoors all day. It was a very
good Year!
Update 3/6/2001 - Hi, It is still winter in New Jersey and boy am
I ever sick of being stuck in the house. Buster, Lady and I have been in
the house for months now. We went out for a little bit last weekend when
the weather warmed up. But my feet got cold and there was no place to go...it
is still all frozen and snowy outside. Today and Yesterday we were supposed
to get a NorEastern, but it blew over and went to Boston instead. It was
nice though, cause my Meowmie stayed home with us for two days. She plays
with us a lot when she stays home. Well, maybe next month the nice weather
will be here and we can go outside and play!!! Meowmie is feeling sad though
she got laid off from her job at work, but she is hoping to transfer to
another job. Let's all say a prayer for her that it works out!!!
From 7/1998: Hi, I'm Simba, and I'm the latest arrival in Buster
and Lady household! My new Meowmie found me in the woods one day when she
went out for a walk. She felt so bad for me she came back in a little whilewith some food. Then the next day she came back and she finally was able to pick me up. I was supposed to go live with some other people, but I am awlful glad my Meowmie kept me!!!! I was very little when my Meowmie found me, I was only 8 or 9 weeks old and weighed 2 pounds. I have grown
already and now weight 3 pounds..and now I am 15 weeks old! I am getting to be a big boy!
Here is an Award I won in the Purrty Kitty Contest!
Here is an Update...It is now March 1999 and I am 10 months old. I weigh
10 to 12 pounds. I have grown quite big as you can see from my picture
above. I still like to bug the other kitties, but Buster and I are buddies.
We play together really hard and then sometimes we take a nap together.
Buster even cleans my face and ears off sometimes...and then he bites me!!!
All in all, it has been a great year so far, and I am really happy to be
here with Buster and Lady and my meowmie, too.
Latest Update 6/1/99. Well, I just celebrated my first birthday. I am a
very happy kitty now, my meowmie lets me go outdoors. Of course, I am a
naughty kitty and run away from her when it is time to come in the house.
She lets me stay out as much as I want on the weekends, and when she gets
home from work, too. I am a really big cat now..I am almost as big as Lady.
I weight 13 lbs now. Buster and I are good buddies, we hunt and sleep together.
All in all it has been a very good first year for me.
Update: 7/11/99 - Wow! My meowmie weighed me today and I weigh 14 Pounds!
I really grew a lot....I'm almost as big as Buster now he only has a couple
of pounds on me!! I spend all day outside on the weekends! I just love
it hanging out in the grass and hunting in the bushes! You never know who you are going to run into...like the SKUNK!!!! So far I've been lucky and
haven't gotten sprayed yet!
Update: 9/1/1999 - Wow! Summer is over and it is time for back to school
and fall weather. I sure enjoyed the summer and hung out outdoors as much
as Meowmie would let me. I am a big boy now and stay in the woods all by
myself and hunt. So far I haven't brought home any presents for my Meowmie
yet! Oh, just in case you missed my photo when I was CAT OF THE DAY, you
can click here and see my page. Click
here for "Cat of the Day" - Simba. . You can also check out the Cat
of the Day site and find out how you could be Cat
of the Day.
Update: 2/1/2000 - Gee it's year 2000 and I will be 2 years old in a
couple of month. I really hate the winter. Mommy won't let me go out since
the snow has been staying on the ground. I went out for a couple of minutes
Friday night and came right back in...there is snow and ice everywhere.
So all I can do for fun is chase Lady and Buster around the house when
the lights go out at night! It's lots of fun, but I will be glad when spring
comes and I can go outside again! Playing with the little toy furry mice
is just not the same as playing and hunting the real things!
Update: 6/1/2000 - Well, summer is finally here. It was nice all last
weekend and Meowmie let me stay outside as much as I wanted. On Sunday
I stayed out from 8 in the morning till 11 o'clock at night. (I just came
in to grab a bite to eat and then dash back outside) I just love it in
the bushes and the tall grass. But, Meowmie is so afraid of my bringing
in ticks so she is constantly checking me out when I come inside. Once
in a while I get a tick in my eyelids and meowmie has to pull them out.
Ouch! That smarts! Well, that's about it for now..gotta go rush outside
again!
Well, now to tell you about how Buster and Lady felt when I came home
with Meowmie. Buster growled his head off and stayed outdoors all week.
He never came in except to sleep or eat. Lady just growled at me when I
bugged her, the rest of the time she wasn't too bad. They still don't *Love*
me, but they tolerate me a little better.
I love to play and spend all my waking time just jumping on toys and
bugging the other cats. I still sleep a lot, but I get very active at night.
I love to pounce on my Meowmie's feet when she goes to bed, and puts me
at the bottom of the bed. Meowmie gets quite mad cause I won't stop playing
and go to sleep. (But she gets over it). I don't go outdoors yet cause
my Meowmie says I am too little and might get lost again. I do like to
sit on the balcony and watch all the bugs and birds! My favorite toy is
a little green striped turtle! I just love him.. he makes so much noise
when I bat him around. I also like the little brown teddy bear and carry
him around by one arm!
This is a picture of me and Meowmie. There will be more pictures going up on my webpage but that
is all Meowmie found the time to do right now.
I am going to join all the same clubs that the big kitties are in.
Well, I am getting tired now so it is time for me to take a little nap!
I am a member of the Fairy Cats... that means I was a stray and got adopted. Fairy Cats come from animal shelters or they show up on your doorstep.

Here is one of my favorite Lists...
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GIVE YOUR CAT A PILL:
1. Grasp cat firmly in your arm. Cradle its head on your elbow, just
as if you were giving a baby a bottle. Coo confidently,
"That's a nice kitty." Drop the pill in its mouth.
2. Retrieve cat from top of lamp and pill from under sofa.
3. Follow same procedure as in #1, but hold cat's front paws
down with left hand and back paws down with elbow of right
arm . Poke pill into its mouth with right forefinger.
4. Retrieve cat from under bed. Get new pill from bottle. (resist
impulse to get new cat.)
5. Again proceed as in #1, except when you have cat firmly
cradled in bottle-feeding position, sit on edge of chair,
fold your toroso over cat, bring your right hand over your left elbow,
open cat's mouth by lifting the upper jaw and and pop pill in - quickly!
Since your head is down by your knees, you won't
be able to see what you're doing. That's just as well.
6. Leave cat hanging on drapes. Leave pill in your hair.
7. If you are a woman, have a good cry. If you are a man, have
a good cry.
8. Now pull yourself together. Who's the boss here anyway?
Retrieve cat and pill. Assuming position #1, say sternly, "Who's
the boss here anyway?" Open cat's mouth, take pill.......
Ooooppss!!
9. This isn't working, is it? Collapse & think. Aha! Those flashing
claws are causing the chaos.
10. Crawl to the linen closet. Drag back a large beach towel.
Spread towel on floor.
11. Retrieve cat from kitchen counter & pill from potted plant.
12. Spread cat on towel near one end with its head over long edge.
13. Flatten cat's front & back legs over its stomach.
(resist impulse to flatten cat.)
14. Roll cat in towel. Work fast; time and tabbies wait for no
woman - or man!
15. Resume position #1. Rotate your left hand to cat's head.
Press its mouth at the jaw hinges like the petals of a snapdragon.
16. Drop pill into cat's mouth and poke gently. Viola! It's done!
17. Vacuum up loose fur (cat's). Apply bandages to wounds (yours).;
18. Take two aspirins & lie down!!
